Today was such a amazing energetic day! I had a blast with my pageant sisters. We woke up this morning at 6:30am and were out of the hotel by 7:30. We left and got to eat at Eggilisious which was amazing a big huge thank you to the waitresses and chefs for dealing with all of us ladies. After that we walked to the pier on Lake Ontario, we saw an old boat in the lake that is now a historic boat.
Then we practiced our bikini (top 20) walk in the middle of the park. It was cool, and tourists were taking pictures of us doing so. Then after our catwalk session in the park we went to the Mississauga Canoe Club to go, not canoeing but Dragon boating. First we split up into groups, I ended up being in the hardest spot to be in, the front. The front of the boat has to face the opposite direction, and scream 1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5 over and over again to the strokes. Then we raced the other Dragon boat.
Sadly we lost but it was a friendly competition so no hard feelings. Then while we were eating lunch an instructor selected 3 of us to go out speed boating, and I got picked. Speed boating was so much fun. We went so far out on the river, saw some beautiful houses, more like mansions along the water front. The best thing when speed boating was when we crossed the waves we created, by doing so we almost jumped out of the water! After speed boating we taught our dragon boat instructors to walk the cat walk and they were so good at it. They walked the cat walk ripping off there shirts. After Dragon boating we got back on that bus and drove out. For 2 hours!! We went to Niagara!! It was a dream of mine to see the falls. Before we saw the falls we went to see Greg Frewin live who is a world renowned magician, he is the current international champ.
He did tricks that I had never seen before he also has 2 albino tigers and 1 regular one. I have seen magicians before but never anything like this! Sadly we were not able to take photos or videos of the performance because of the tigers, not liking flash. It was still very cool to see a tiger in real life, let alone an albino one that is very rare, I even bought a mini stuffed albino tiger as a souvenir. At intermission a little girl was waiting at the door, staring at the “princesses” so I and Angle (another delegate) stopped to give her a hug and get a photo with her.
She was so happy that we did this. She give me the largest, tightest, love filled hug ever she was so happy. Her smile made my day. During intermission I took several other photos with kids and all of their smiles were so bright and big. The performance was amazing with live animals, such as tigers, doves, and parrots. It was cool because I have never seen a tiger in person before.
After the show was over we quickly went over to see the falls. The streets of Niagara were like a northern Las Vegas, all lit up with flashing lights. When we stopped to go see the falls I was shocked how the mist traveled up towards the people and you could feel it on your face and skin. The falls were so pretty. The Canadian side was lit up RED AND WHITE and the U.S.A side was light up RED, WHITE and BLUE which was cool. It was such an incredible day and incredible things to experience that without the MTC Pageant I never would have experienced, and I feel so lucky and grateful to have this opportunity.
