On Thursday May 28th and Friday May 29th I attended Hillview School’s Fun Fair and BX schools Apple Blossom Carnival. On Thursday I was given the job of face painting the kids faces and spraying “Crazy Hair” (washable hair dye), with Queen Silver Star Alicia Hill-Turner and Princess Silver Star Hannah Vaz. This was so much fun, every kid that came through wanted Crazy Hair.
Very few kids wanted actual face paint. We went through so many cans of the crazy hair that we had to shut down the station early. So after the station had shut down I went into the cake walk to walk with some special little kids. Sadly though we didn’t win any cakes. …Only cupcakes.
On Friday I attend the Apple Blossom carnival at BX elementary school.
Here I worked the guessing jar, and lollypop pull station!! The lollypop station was the busiest station at the whole carnival; it was so busy that we only lasted two of the four hours! So after that Princess Silver Star and I ate some supper together. Then for the last two hours I helped at the Cake walk inside, walking with several little girls and boys. One of the little girls that I walked with won a Cake, she was so happy. Then her Mom won a cake, her smile was so big and happy. It was so cute.
The next boy I walked with was just as cute. When our number was called to win a cake he did notknow that it was our number so when I told him “that’s us” his face lit up in glee. He went up and picked out his cake with a smile on his face the whole time. So at the end of the week (Friday) I can say I had a unforgettable week filled with SWEET memories. A special thank you to The Queen and Princess Silver Star’s, and Sue Slater, for having me along on these events. 👑
